The Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) is a research institute affiliated with the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), conducting applied and fundamental research in telecommunications, computer science, AI, and intelligent systems. With a long track record of EU-funded research projects and industry partnerships, ICCS is one of Greece's most active and internationally recognised research institutions. As an Institutional member, ICCS provides significant research capacity to the Pleiades ecosystem.
Connect with MemberICCS conducts research across a broad spectrum of ICT domains including wireless communications, 5G/6G networks, machine learning, computer vision, cybersecurity, IoT, and intelligent transportation systems. The Institute participates in numerous European Commission-funded research programmes (Horizon Europe, Digital Europe), contributing both to scientific advances and to real-world technology demonstration and pilot deployment.
ICCS also plays a key role in technology transfer, translating research outputs into applicable tools, platforms, and standards that can be adopted by industry partners. Their network of researchers and interdisciplinary expertise makes ICCS a valued collaborator in large-scale consortia tackling cross-sector challenges — from smart mobility and energy to digital health and public safety.
